Established in 1993, VFM Property Management provides professional consultancy solutions in property management and development.

VFM Property Management is a specialist in its field offering a dynamic approach to management of the property asset.  We understand and are committed to the needs of our clients and property owners who want to protect their investments both now and in the future.  

We take a proactive interest in the properties and freeholds that we manage, with the aim of not only maintaining, but enhancing these assets wherever possible. By cost effective management we maximise the capital value of our clients’ buildings and land.   We recognize however that this process must be carefully balanced by controlling the associated costs contained in the annual service charge. Costs which must be maintained at an appropriate, sustainable, economic level.

One of the key features of our services involves working closely with freehold owners and representatives of resident management organisations to prepare and agree a suitable budget and programme of professional planned expenditure. To achieve the best results we implement a carefully structured maintenance schedule making allowance to smoothly facilitate any emergency works that may arise. 

Our property management services are benchmarked to the quality standards set out by The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) which, along with the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA), are the two main property management agents regulatory bodies in the UK.  VFM is Regulated by RICS, and as Chartered Surveyors we practise in accordance with the RICS Residential Management Code. This regulation provides our clients with significant benefits all secured by this guaranteed quality standard. 

Our freehold services can be defined into three broad categories comprising financial, lease management and property maintenance.  We also offer a company secretarial and registered office facility along with all of the benefits of our technical capabilities in the building and development sector.  Our core professional capabilities in the property management field extend to surveying and project management of major works. Supplemented by flexible and broad ranging property and facilities management services we also offer specialist client representative and advisory solutions tailored to meet individual needs. VFM is also experienced in all aspects of block property management, surveying and project management. 

We offer all of the advantages of our Value Focused Management for any freehold or leasehold managed property. VFM's services are flexible and may be introduced at any stage or for any requirements in the management process. Over the years we have grown steadily, attracting new clients and repeat business on a wide range of projects and commissions including many freeholds, residential redevelopments and refurbishment programmes.

Incorporated as VFM Procurement Limited in 1995, our success and growth is underpinned by measured integration of the traditional disciplines. Combining these strengths, our clients can now benefit from the highest professional standards under the assurance and safety of our RICS chartered designation. 

VFM is Regulated by RICS demonstrating that our services are compliant with the stringent standards set by the Institution.  Our services are analysed and undergo a regular and thorough independent inspection under the control of the RICS.  This provides protection and comfort to our customers in guaranteeing quality standards and compliance with the RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code. RICS’ rules state that firms regulated by RICS shall preserve the security of clients’ money entrusted to them. Client monies are properly secured in a nominated client bank account under the accounting rules. RICS also funds a clients’ money Protection Scheme. This is a free service provided by RICS to clients of firms that are regulated by RICS. 

Under an arrangement with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) the RICS is a designated professional body (DPB).  As a DPB member, VFM can carry out insurance mediation activity which is broadly advising on, selling, and administration of insurance contracts. We are therefore suitably qualified to arrange buildings and other insurances for properties, freeholds and management companies on behalf of our clients. This part of our business, including arrangements for complaints or redress if something goes wrong, is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The register can be accessed via the Financial Services Authority website www.fsa.gov.uk. This Firm is not authorised by the Financial Services Authority.
